Dual N-Back keeps your data to a minimum. Your training history and settings stay on your device. We collect only anonymous, aggregated usage analytics to understand how the app is used and to improve it. We do not ask for your name, email, or any account details, we never sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising or cross-app tracking.
The following is saved locally on your device only and is never transmitted to us:
Deleting the app removes it. You can also clear it any time from Settings → Clear History inside the app.
We use Google Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous usage data, including:
This data is not linked to your identity and is used only in aggregate to improve the app. We do not collect contacts, photos, location, or the microphone, and the app contains no advertising or third-party ad tracking.
The app signs in to Firebase with an anonymous account — a randomly generated identifier with no personal information attached. It simply lets the app function reliably; it is not tied to your name, email, or any real-world identity.
When the Audio stream is enabled, the app uses your device's built-in text-to-speech to read letters aloud. No audio is recorded, stored, or transmitted, and the microphone is not used.
We rely on Google Firebase (Analytics and Authentication) as a data processor. Google processes the analytics and anonymous-account data described above on our behalf. See Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy and firebase.google.com/support/privacy. No data is sold or shared with any other third party.
Dual N-Back is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. The analytics described above are anonymous and not used to identify any individual.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date.
